Founders of Midland Meadows

The question is often asked, "What makes Midland Meadows Senior Living different from other Assisted Living Communities in our area?
Answer: The founders, their experience, and their hands on approach.

Midland Meadows FoundersMidland Meadows was founded in a way for seniors to live happy, self-directed lives in a supportive community. It is locally owned and operated by people that were raised, schooled and continue to live in Cabell County today. As owners, Jeff and Rosalene Black and Keith and Karen Weatherholt, saw a need for an assisted living community in the Tri-state area that could provide residents with more than just "assistance." Our goal is to make Midland Meadows known as a community with superior customer service. Unlike a nursing home, our residents choose to live with us. Keith, Karen, Rosalene, and Jeff are on site daily; working, eating, and interacting with the residents. We continually strive to build relationships with our residents; to be available to hear their concerns or just engage in casual conversation.

We spend so much time in our community; we have even been asked if we too are residents of Midland Meadows. Although we don't live here, logistically, Keith and Karen live about 5 minutes from the community, and Jeff and Rosalene are about 7 minutes away. You can stop by and see one or all of us anytime throughout the community.

All four owners of Midland Meadows play a key role in making the community what is today. Keith and Jeff handle all maintenance inside and outside the building. They can be seen fixing a light bulb, hanging a drapery rod, and even wheeling a resident to their room or to the dining room. Jeff also manages the kitchen and is in charge of making sure that resident's personal requests for mealtime favorites are always available. Together, Keith and Jeff keep our community in tiptop shape. Rosalene works as community administrator and marketing director. She handles community staffing, resident issues, and is responsible for maintaining all state licensing requirements. Karen, the community coordinator, handles the back office functions including payroll, accounts payable, invoicing, and reporting required by state and federal authorities.

Combined, the owners bring multiple years of experience to the community. Rosalene has 17 years of nursing experience and 8 years experience in managing an assisted living community. Karen brings 25+ years experience in office management, back office functions, including 10+ years as a business owner. Jeff has 9 years experience in direct sales, customer service, and additional experience as a manufacturing supervisor. Keith has 30+ years experience in customer service, sales, and management with 10+ years as an owner and CEO.

At Midland Meadows, we understand that finding the right place to entrust your loved one's care can be a difficult decision. We want you to know that we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents simply by fostering an atmosphere of family and community. We have poured our hearts and souls into making this community a success and we're grateful for each resident that chooses to call Midland Meadows home.
